마르면 또는 구우면 딱딱해지는 부드러운 자연 흙입니다. 주로 도자기, 벽돌, 예술작품 등을 만들 때 사용하고, 흙의 종류로도 지칭합니다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

대부분 셀 수 없는 명사로 사용하며, 유형을 말할 때만 'a clay'를 씁니다. 'clay pot', 'modeling clay', 'clay soil', 'clay court(테니스)' 등과 같이 자주 사용됩니다. 일반적인 진흙이나 흙과 구분해야 합니다.
