Definition

鳥や虫などが出す、軽やかで高い短い鳴き声を表します。多くの場合、明るくて楽しい雰囲気を連想させます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「鳥がさえずる」「虫がチーチー鳴く」のように、主に鳥や昆虫に使います。電子音（着信音など）にも使われることがありますが、大きな動物には使いません。
