الـ carpenter هو الشخص الذي يعمل في صنع أو بناء أو إصلاح الأشياء المصنوعة من الخشب، وخاصة أجزاء المباني أو الأثاث.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يُستخدم عادةً للإشارة إلى عاملٍ ماهر يعمل بالخشب. من التراكيب الشائعة: 'hire a carpenter' و 'master carpenter' و 'finish carpenter'. لا تخلطه مع 'joiner' في بعض أنواع الإنجليزية، لأن هذه الكلمة قد تشير إلى تخصص أدق.
