失敗や損傷を避けるために、注意して丁寧に物事を行う様子。大切なことや繊細な作業の際によく使います。

「注意深く聞く」「慎重に読む」などの動詞とよく使います。単に遅いよりも間違いを避ける意識が強いです。日常会話では「気をつけて（be careful）」の方がよく使われます。
