Definition

입으로 바람을 내보내거나 바람이 부는 것. 'blow'는 신체적/감정적인 충격이나 타격을 뜻하기도 한다.

동사로는 '초를 불다', '바람이 분다'로 사용. 명사로는 '팔에 타격을 입다', '자신감에 타격을 받다' 등. 'blow up'(폭발)이나 'blow off'(무시하다)와 혼동하지 않기.

Please blow out the candles on the cake.
