Atar o sujetar algo fuertemente; también se usa para describir la unión de cosas o para decir que alguien está obligado legal o moralmente.

"Bind" puede ser físico (atar con cuerda), abstracto (obligar por ley o promesa), o técnico (informática). Se usa "bind to" para conexiones y "be bound by" para obligaciones. No es informal.
