Kitap, makale veya başka bir metni yazan kişi; ayrıca bir plan veya fikri ortaya koyan kişi anlamında da kullanılır.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle kitap yazanlar için kullanılır ve 'yazar'dan daha resmi ve özeldir. 'the author of the policy' gibi ifadelerde, edebi yazar olmak zorunda değildir.
