“applause” in Bengali

Definition

একটি পরিবেশনা, বক্তৃতা বা ইভেন্ট ভালো লাগলে বা অনুমোদন জানালে উপস্থিতি সবাই হাততালি দেয়, সেটাই তালি বা করতালি। প্রচণ্ড প্রশংসা বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত অগণনীয়, যেমন: 'তাদের তালি পড়ল।' 'burst into applause', 'round of applause' ইত্যাদি বাক্যাংশেও ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'clapping' অপেক্ষা অধিক রাষ্ট্রীয় বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
