Definition

国や特定のグループを代表するために公式に選ばれた歌です。重要な場面やイベントで演奏されることが多く、強い感情や団結を表す歌にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

多くの場合「国歌」を意味しますが、学校やグループの歌、みんなをひとつにするような歌にも使われます。「national anthem」（国歌）、「school anthem」（校歌）などによく使います。
