Amount का मतलब किसी चीज़ की मात्रा से है, खासकर जब उसे एक-एक करके गिनना आसान न हो। इसका मतलब पैसे की रकम भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'amount of' का प्रयोग मुख्यतः uncountable nouns के साथ होता है: 'a small amount of water'. Countable nouns के साथ आमतौर पर 'number of' बेहतर होता है: 'a large number of people'. आम प्रयोग: 'the total amount', 'a certain amount of', 'amount to' (कुल होना या उसके बराबर होना).
