“amount” in Spanish
Definition
Una amount es la cantidad que hay de algo, especialmente cuando no se cuenta fácilmente una por una. También puede significar una suma de dinero.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Usa 'amount of' sobre todo con sustantivos incontables: 'a small amount of water'. Con contables, normalmente es mejor 'number of': 'a large number of people'. Expresiones comunes: 'the total amount', 'a certain amount of', 'amount to' (sumar un total o equivaler a algo).
