誰かが間違ったことや違法なことをしたとまだ証明されていないうちに言うこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

普通はフォーマル/中立的な場面で使う。「accuse someone of ～」の形で「人を～で非難する」のように使うことが多い。非難や告発を指し、必ずしも罪が証明されたわけではない。「blame」や「charge」とは異なる。

Examples

They accuse him of lying.

彼らは彼を**非難**した、嘘をついたと。

My boss accused me of being late, but I had proof I arrived on time.
