무언가나 누군가를 기다리며 특별히 하는 일 없이 한 곳에 머무르는 것. 지루하거나 시간 낭비처럼 느껴질 수 있다.

단순히 기다리는 것보다 지루함이나 의욕 없는 느낌이 강하다. 'wait around for someone'처럼 사람이나 기회를 기다릴 때 많이 쓴다.
