三等分

Definition

何かを3つの同じ大きさの部分に分けたときの、それぞれの部分。時に「1/3」という意味でも使われます。

ほとんどの場合、分け方や割り当てに使い、「thirds」は順番を表す言葉ではありません。「thirds」を使うときは、必ず数量などで平等に分ける場面です。

She cut the apple into three thirds.
