Definition

'Thirds' वे बराबर हिस्से हैं, जब किसी चीज़ को तीन भागों में बाँटा जाता है। यह इन हिस्सों में से एक या सामान्यतः 1/3 अंश के लिए भी उपयोग हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Thirds' का उपयोग प्रायः हिस्सों के लिए होता है: 'केक को thirds में काटो'। यह क्रम के लिए नहीं है ('third' उस स्थिति हेतु है)। अक्सर भिन्नों में मिलता है: 'two thirds'. 'Thirds' (हिस्से) और 'third' (क्रम) में भ्रम न करें। खाते-पीते, बाँटते समय आम है।
