开始做一项活动或爱好，占据空间或时间，或承担任务或责任。

常用于口语和书面语。常搭配兴趣爱好（“take up swimming”），空间/时间（“take up too much time”），或承担职责（“take up the challenge”）。不能用于“捡起”某物，那个说“pick up”。
