何かをすることが期待されたり、決まっていたり、規則や計画として求められている場合に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話でよく使われ、義務・期待・予定・ルールについて話すとき使います。'supposed to do' のように動詞とセットで用います。 'suppose'（思う）とは別です。

Examples

I am supposed to finish my homework before dinner.

私は夕食の前に宿題を**終わらせることになっています**。

You are supposed to be quiet in the library.
