أن تقف في مكان دون أن تفعل أي شيء، غالبًا أثناء الانتظار أو تضييع الوقت.

غير رسمي. يُستخدم لوصف الانتظار بلا فعل، غالبًا مع وجود انزعاج بسيط. يختلف عن 'stand by' (استعداد) و 'stand up' (وقف).
