Definition
Informar a otras personas sobre algo importante para que más gente lo sepa. Suele tratarse de compartir información para que llegue a más personas.

Expresión informal y común en campañas o eventos ('¡Difundan la noticia sobre la recaudación!'). Generalmente se refiere a noticias, eventos o invitaciones, no a rumores ('spread the word' es positivo, 'spread a rumor' es negativo).
