تقطيع شيء إلى قطع رقيقة ومسطحة. غالبًا ما يُستخدم مع الأطعمة مثل الخبز أو الفاكهة أو الخضروات.

تعبير غير رسمي ويستخدم غالبًا في المطبخ لتحضير الطعام ('slice up an apple'). يمكن استخدامه مجازياً أيضًا ('slice up the profits'). لا تخلطه مع 'cut up'، حيث يعطي 'slice up' معنى التقطيع لشرائح رفيعة ومسطحة.
