'Shears'는 항상 복수형으로 쓰입니다. 'garden shears', 'hedge shears' 같이 식물 손질이나 천, 금속 절단에 사용하며, 종이 자를 때는 쓰지 않습니다. 'a shear'라고 하지 않습니다.
