セグメントとは、何か大きなものを分けた個々の部分のことです。例えば、オレンジの一房やテレビ番組の区切りを指します。

技術やビジネス、日常会話でよく使います。「segments of an orange」はオレンジの房、「segments of a show」は番組のパートを指します。小さな破片にはあまり使いません。
