अमूमन गैर-आधिकारिक तरीके से जरूरत या अवसर ढूँढने के लिए प्रयोग होता है। 'for' के साथ इस्तेमाल आम है ('scout around for...')। यह सामान्य खोज के लिए है, गहराई से नहीं।
