কিছু খুঁজে পেতে নানা জায়গায় খোঁজ করা বা বিভিন্ন বিকল্প দেখা।

অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে সুযোগ, সস্তা কিছু বা হারানো জিনিস খোঁজার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'for' যুক্ত হয়ে ব্যবহার হয় ('scout around for ...')। সাধারণত নরমাল খোঁজা বোঝায়।
