누군가에게 몹시 화를 내서 심하게 소리치거나 혼내는 것. 과장되고 비유적인 표현이며, 실제로 하겠다는 의미는 아니다.

주로 비격식적이고 농담 또는 경고로 쓰임. 실제 폭력이 아니라 아주 많이 화낼 거란 의미. 'bite your head off'도 비슷하게 씀.
