Definition

突然すばやく何かや誰かに飛びかかること。動物が獲物を捕まえるときによく使われますが、チャンスをつかむ時にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

猫やトラなど動物の動きに使うことが多いですが、『アイデアに飛びつく』など比喩的にも使います。普通の『ジャンプする』より勢いがあります。
