物を乱暴に置いたり、勢いよく座ったり、楽器を雑に大きな音で弾いたりすること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
くだけた表現で、雑な動作や音を伴う時によく使う。優しい・静かな動きには使わない。'plonking down'はドスンと座る意味。楽器の場合は下手に弾くニュアンス。
