気を失う配る

Definition

突然意識を失うことがあり、暑さや息苦しさ、強い感情が原因となることが多い。もう一つの意味は、何かをみんなに配ること。

'pass out' は気を失うことをくだけた表現で、'pass away'（亡くなる）とは違う意味です。また「配る」の意味でも使います。文脈で意味を判断します。会話でよく使われます。

He got too hot and passed out in the park.

彼は暑すぎて公園で**気を失った**。
