রাস্তায়, মানে বাইরে, সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত স্থানে বা কোনো বাসস্থান ছাড়া থাকা বোঝাতে পারে।

'রাস্তায় থাকা' বলতে বাড়ি ছাড়া থাকা বোঝানো হয়; আবার 'রাস্তায় খবর' মানে সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে ছড়ানো খবর।
