어떤 통로나 혈관, 시야 등이 완전히 막혀 아무것도 통과할 수 없는 상태.

주로 의학, 과학, 기상 등 공식적 상황에서 사용되며 일상에서는 '막혔다', '막힌'으로 말함. 예: 'occluded artery(폐색된 동맥)', 'occluded front(폐색전선)' 등.

The doctor's report said the artery was occluded.
