कोई ऐसा कथन या प्रस्तुति जो किसी चीज़ की झूठी या भ्रामक छवि पेश करता है, जानबूझकर या अनजाने में।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह शब्द क़ानूनी, व्यवसायिक और औपचारिक संदर्भों में आम है। प्रायः झूठी या अधूरी जानकारी देने के लिए प्रयोग होता है, जानबूझकर (धोखाधड़ी) या अनजाने में। 'misrepresentation of facts' जैसी अभिव्यक्तियों में मिलता है। बोलचाल में नहीं।
