누구나 무엇과 같은 속도로 움직이거나, 변화에 뒤처지지 않고 따라가는 것. 사람, 그룹, 유행과 계속 연결되거나 맞추는 의미로도 쓴다.

주로 'the times', 'trends', 'someone', 'changes'와 함께 쓴다. 'keep up with'보다 약간 더 공식적이고 덜 쓰인다. 일시적으로 따라가는 것보다는 지속적으로 맞추는 데 사용됨.
