人に特定の思想や信念を疑問なく受け入れさせるように強く教え込むこと。多くの場合、一方的で偏った情報が使われます。

ほとんどの場合マイナスなニュアンスで使われ、「教育する」とは違い、コントロール的・一方的なイメージです。「indoctrinating children」「indoctrinating the youth」など、政治や宗教、教育の話題でよく使われます。
