Definition
人や物を完璧だと思い込み、偶像のように過剰に崇拝すること。多くの場合、現実離れした強い憧れを含む。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「idolize」は「admire」よりも強い表現で、セレブや理想への憧れによく使われます。現実離れした、批判のない思い入れを示す点に注意。普通の敬意には使いません。
