隠れていたり見つけにくいものを、注意深く探して見つけ出すこと。物や情報、人に使うことが多い。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

口語的な表現で、見つけるための努力を強調する。'hunt out the answer'や'hunt out old photos'のように使う。'track down'に似るが、発見に焦点を当てる点が違う。見つけづらいものに使う。
