会社が初めて株式を一般に公開することや、これまで秘密にしていた情報を公表すること。

ビジネスでは主に株式上場（IPO）に使われますが、秘密を公表する際にも使います。金融や正式な場面ではフォーマル、それ以外では普通の表現です。
