عادةً ما تستخدم بصيغة الجمع ('gibes')، وتوحي بأسلوب رسمي أو أدبي قليلاً. كثيراً ما تأتي في سياق 'gibes at someone' (السخرية من شخص). ليست شائعة في الأحاديث اليومية.
