Definition

অস্ত্র দিয়ে কারো বা কিছুর দিকে হঠাৎ বা আক্রমণাত্মকভাবে গুলি চালানো। সাধারণত আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র দিয়ে আক্রমণ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

প্রায়শই সংবাদ, সামরিক বা অপরাধমূলক পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণত লক্ষ্যবস্তু উল্লেখ করা হয় ('fire into the crowd')। খেলাধুলার শুটিং বা আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র ছাড়া অন্য অস্ত্রের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় না। এটি গম্ভীর ও সহিংস ধাঁচের।
