Definition

自分を人に好きにさせる、または好感を持たせること。他人から好かれるような行動を指す。

フォーマル・文学的な表現で、日常会話ではあまり使われません。'endear oneself to' の形でよく見られます。'like'や'love'とは違う意味ですので注意。

He tried to endear himself to his new classmates by being friendly.
