Mide içeriğinin ağız yoluyla dışarı atılması anlamına gelen tıbbi bir terimdir. Genelde akademik ve hastane ortamında kullanılır.

‘kusma’ yaygın, ‘emesis’ ise tıbbi metin ve raporlarda karşılaşılır. Günlük konuşmada kullanılmaz.
