Definition

物事の方向や話題を他にそらすこと。実際に物をはね返す場合や、質問などをかわす場合にも使う。

技術的な場面や会話で使う。例えば「質問からそらす」は話題を避けたいときに用いる。「反射」とは異なる意味。

He is deflecting all the questions about his mistake.
