何かを小さく切ること。特に料理をするときや、何かを分ける際によく使われる。

日常的で口語的な表現。実際に切れる物（特に食べ物や工作）によく使われる。抽象的な意味には使わない。アメリカでスラング的に「ふざける」の意味もあるが、主な意味は文字通り切ること。
