短時間で料理を作ること、または話や言い訳、計画などを（少し不誠実に）作り上げること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話でよく使われ、『cook up a story』は話をでっちあげる意味。単に料理を素早く作る時にも使う。フォーマルな場面ではあまり使わない。
