自分の現状や成果に満足しすぎて、努力や問題の発見を怠る状態。否定的な意味で使われることが多い。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ほとんどの場合否定的に使い、油断して危険や欠点に気づかない人を表します。'become', 'grow', 'remain' のような動詞と一緒によく使われます。「content」とは違い、だらしなさや油断が含まれます。
