余分な力を使わずに（例えば車が坂を下る時のように）なめらかに進むこと。または、あまり努力せず簡単に何かをやること。

主に乗り物や自転車、または努力せず物事をやり遂げる時に使います。「coasted through」は苦労せずやり遂げるという意味。会話的な表現です。
