'Clings' é terceira pessoa do singular do presente (ele/ela se agarra). Usado com emoções ('clings to hope'), pessoas ('clings to her mother') ou contato físico ('the shirt clings to his body'). Não se usa para toque leve. Costuma indicar resistência em largar.
