割るしっかりとくっつく（文語）

Definition

強い力で何かを割ったり切り離すこと。また、ごくまれに、誰かや何かにしっかりとくっつくという意味もある（文語的）。

日常会話ではあまり使われず、文語や文学作品に多い。主に「割る」という意味で使われ、「しっかりくっつく」という意味は宗教的・文学的表現。

The woodcutter used an axe to cleave the log in two.
