Definition

小動物や鳥が出すような、高くて速い鳴き声や音を出すこと。リスやコウモリ、鳥によく使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に動物に使われ、人間にはほとんど使わない語です。物語や描写文でよく登場します。「chattering（おしゃべり）」と混同しないように注意。
