문제나 장애를 처리하거나 극복하는 것; 어려움을 넘다.

비유적이고 다소 격식 있는 표현. 주로 'bridge over the gap'처럼 문제, 차이, 갈등을 극복할 때 쓴다. 실제 'bridge'(다리)와 혼동하지 말 것.
