Definition

갑자기 매우 빠른 속도로 뛰기 시작하다. 주로 말이 걷거나 천천히 달리다가 전속력 질주로 전환할 때 사용한다.

주로 말에 사용되지만, 사람이나 집단이 갑자기 빠르게 움직일 때 비유적으로 쓸 수 있음. 문학적이고 묘사적인 표현으로 일상 대화에서는 잘 쓰지 않음.
